Performance this Weekend at Hangar

2014feb

February 8: Hangar 2014 : 02

On February 8, Nonsemble hit up West End as part of the monthly Hangar series at the Waiting Room. The venue is one of Brisbane’s few remaining DIY, BYO, informal music spaces, and feels a bit like an excellent house party (if your house had a P.A. System and more tolerant neighbours). The line-up also features cinematic sextet Mooshim and the atmospheric side project of The Rational Academy’s Ben Thompson, Pale Earth.Nonsemble will appear last at 9:30 for an intimate set of originals, plus a few chamber arrangements of our favourite indie/post-rock/electronic tracks, including our recent arrangement of Volcano Choir's Byegone. We'll also be premiering a brand new work written for us by Brisbane composer Ben Heim, and we're be joined by guest vocalists Shem Allen and Helen Carrington.[soundcloud url="https://api.soundcloud.com/tracks/130766293" params="color=ff5500&auto_play=false&show_artwork=true&show_playcount=true&show_comments=true" width="100%" height="81" iframe="false" /]Hangar 2014 : 02, presented by lofly.Nonsemble, Pale Earth, Mooshim.February 8, Doors: 7:30pm.Entry: $10, Tickets at the Door.
